Laura Parodi, MS, LMFT

With over 30 years of experience, I have been providing psychotherapy services in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and now as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Miami, Florida. I hold a license from the Florida Board of Marriage and Family Therapy and received my MS in Psychology in 2007 from Carlos Albizu University. In 2008, I started my private practice, and founded Azzurra Health Care Center in 2021.

My experience encompasses a broad range of client concerns, including parenting challenges, new baby adjustments, postpartum depression, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, ADHD, ASD, and more. I have worked extensively with young children, school-age children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My expertise also covers areas such as LGBT issues, family conflicts, career struggles, addiction, and life change adaptation.

Offering child behavior management, coping and adjustment skills, and couples therapy, my approach is grounded in a humanistic and strength-based foundation, fostering connection, self-discovery, and healing for individuals and couples. I have assisted numerous clients in processing and recovering from physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling approach is characterized by a warmth interaction, providing a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment through customized dialogues and treatment plans that cater to your distinct emotional and mental needs. My therapeutic methodologies integrate cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic approaches, utilizing solution-focused techniques, family systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) based on Relational-based Theory. I also employ cognitive-behavioral strategies to help clients overcome everyday challenges and enhance self-esteem, self-awareness, and progress in life.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, I often conduct therapy sessions in both languages. Embarking on a journey towards a happier, more fulfilling life requires courage, and taking the first steps towards change can be daunting. However, if you are prepared to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. Together, we will discover answers and solutions to your problems, and work towards developing new coping mechanisms.

I look forward to collaborating with you on your journey to well-being!
